Nestled high in the Gran Pulchris mountains, Solantry Academy is a small, but highly prestigious school for perfecting the art of enchanting - a specialized sub-sect of artificing. The headmaster - Ferrine Solitaire, has personally developed a means of blending the skill of both dwarven smithing, and elven fine crafting by calling on his own heritage as a half-dwarf.
The academy itself is nowhere near the size of Telari - but serves as a landmark in Vespire nonetheless with high stone walls resembling a cathedral.
Solantry is a grand multistoried building built from a heavy basalt-like stone brought up from the nearby mines. In ages past - the school was a dedicated temple to Moradin, however, over time the temple attracted so many devotees looking to learn from the teachings in a tangible way that it organically changed foci.
Several physical changes have been made to the original temple - including an expansion of dormitories, as well as interior alterations to accommodate for crafting studios. The forge, of course, was always a part of the building.
The face of the building features large arched windows that frame a carved depiction of Moradin's heraldry.
Headcrafter Solitaire's primary goal with the school is to uncover the inherent magical properties of the natural world and learn how to manipulate them into serving a greater purpose. For instance - bending platinum's natural protective qualities into a stable spell-like effect emanating from something like a ring or amulet.
